About me

My name is Josephine Mackenzie, BSc (Hons) Psychology, PG Cert Clinical Hypnosis, PDA Clinical Hypnosis.  I am a clinical hypnotherapist working in the Inverclyde area.  I have for many years been a practitioner of Reiki and spirtual healing and taught Psychology for several years as well as Art and art for relaxation workshops.

Hypnotherapy is a wonderful relaxed way in which to resolve problems, some of which have been with us for what seems like a lifetime. Hypnotherapy works with the unconscious mind  so it seems that changes happen all on their own.  The unconscious mind has relieved your conscious mind of the hard work of managing daily the traumas and habits that keep us on the edge of whatever condition we are suffering with; smoking, weight issues, pain, anxiety and much more.

The Hypno-band sytem is a hypnotherapy system designed to enable weight loss in the clinically obese specifically those with a high Body Mass Index (BMI)

WHO IS IT DESIGNED FOR - The hypno-band system is designed for those clients who fall into the "Obese" range, which is clients with a Body Mass Index of 30 or more. 

HOW DOES IT WORK - the Hypno-Band is a combination of suggestion, visualisation and cognitive behavioural therapy techniques which combined help to make behavioural changes that make sustained weight loss possible. Because the "gastric band" part of the process is a mechanism that helps the client believe that their stomach is smaller with less capacity for food it enables your hunger to be satisfied with smaller portions of food.
